So who is “the Oven Mamma”?
I'm originally from North Carolina, USA, and have lived and worked in Shanghai for over four years. I began baking in my free time to remind me of the comforts of home and simply because it was hard to find really good Western-style desserts in the city.
Resolving to bring the flavors of the American South to the East, I hunted down hard-to-find quality ingredients to recreate the mouthwatering cakes, cookies and pastries of my youth, “just like mamma used to make 'em”.
I began baking for my friends, events, and holidays . Soon, I had a steady group of loyal customers who suggested that I start selling my baked goods as a side business. So, this is what I did!
What's so special about my desserts?
First of all, I love baking and I put my heart and soul into all of my creations. In addition to the classic favorites, I also create my own recipes such as my special oatmeal cookies and chocolate candies.
My customers agree that the price of my baked goods is surpassed by the quality and taste. Baking is my passion and I hope you enjoy my delicious creations just as much as I enjoyed making them!
