G.E. Tan's Massive IT Overhaul Takes Off January 2008

LATEST NEWS:

G.E. TAN & Associates announced plans to launch an IT modernization project that will be notable in the industry for its scale and ambition.

Beginning January 1st 2008, the company will embark on a phase by phase replacement of most of its computer hardware and the installation of new state-of-the-art custom software and servers.

The project aims to expand the company's property management capabilities and enhance the company's quality of service.

Taking Property Management To A New Level

With the needs of residential and commercial properties becoming increasingly complex, G.E. Tan & Associates believes that its sophisticated IT solutions will create a new standard in the property management services industry in Penang.

"For example, we will install cutting edge hardware at larger properties under our management," the company said. "This means that our staff can log on to our servers from remote locations and monitor properties online and in real time."

"We believe that no other property manager in Penang will be able to match the timeliness and efficiency of our new system."

Mr. Tan Chun Khuan, the company's general manager, adds, "We are confident in Penang's real estate market. Our migration to more sophisticated IT systems will further differentiate our services from other property managers."

"Tangible benefits will be felt by residents, landlords and, in the case of commercial properties, visitors and business owners."

The project is the result of over a year of careful planning and evaluation of the property management industry's needs.

Streamlining Work Flows

As part of the overhaul, the property management department will also begin streamlining its work flow. "We will consolidate several job functions and provide additional training to staff to redeploy them as Generalists who are responsible for the gamut of responsibilities in property management," said Mr. Tan.

"This will help our property management team to become more integrated and to provide a more seamless service to our clients."
